Looks like some nice winds Thurs - Sunday

Post by Kevinousdigian »

SE winds building Thursday and Friday and eventually colder air moves in on Sunday switching winds to westish so Mille Lacs could be good Sunday. Get your work and honey do lists done!
Tuesday, tomorrow, may be kiteable too.
Enjoy!!

Yeah - it's always a good sign when you look at the 10 day and you can't make out the outline of the state because the isobars are too close.

Hi Kevin, How about the wind a little further South for the regatta on Lake Saylorville near Des Moines this weekend??
This race has always been one of the windy ones. Steve

I'm going to checkout Pepin today. I've never sailed it, but it looks like the wind is lining up and I'm in the area. Any advice from people with experience on it?

I have been skunked many a time at Pepin. Especially when the wind is SSE turning southlike today... ESE is thebest wind direction... So be prepared to check the wind direction before you go out west and see what the trend is...

Lunchtime today was the best 9m kiting we've had around here in ages.

The swell beyond the reef was fun at WB and there were plenty of powerful updrafts to keep you floating. Fun to see Randy J ripping around on his Saxo and 2 Mikes out + others.

Gotta love it when a forecast holds together! Shorty weather tomorrow.
