PHOOEEY! :? You must have gotten out a little earlier. The ice hadn't cleared by noon, so Dave Z & I didn't make it back 'til after 4. We thought we were the 1st out this season, but.... U beat us. Nice vid, looked fun.

Normann,
I was watching a little slot open up just inside the rock bar, kept checking back every hour, then at about 2:30 the slot opened to the shore right at the end of the rock bar.
so I walked from Rutherford around to the rock bar. breaking through the ice by shore a few times. By the time Cal launched me, Mike and Avery were out from Ramsey.
it was cool, as we rode south you would get blasts of noticeably warmer air wherever it came off the island instead of the ice.
On my return to Rutherford I had to slide over some submurged ice and but slide the last twenty feet over solid ice to shore.
It was fun to get a liquid session in.

Awesome jumps with nice distance Hendy!!!!
I was out at Waconia solo by kite but Patty,
Donnie and Professor Robea were cruising on
their windsurfers. Thanks Eric for the launch!
The wind line was aways out so a quick body
drag worked better than tea bagging. The session
was short as some nasty clouds moved in. Thanks
to Eric again for showing us the radar and saying we
had ten minutes to pack it up before the storm hit.
We got everything in the car and heard hurricane winds
coming across the lake. Very scary, we thought a
Tornado was coming but the rain was coming down
so hard that you couldn't see what was out there!!
Quite a finish to our first open water day.
