Flew over at noon today, North third of lake wide open, next third partly open, South third ice but probably all open in a couple days by how it looks

Pete, where are you standing in the most recent photo? That looks like a good drift launch spot.

Mike,

I think that's the point at Lake City. The river is drying up. You probably already know it drops off real fast there. There might be enough room to launch right off land now.
My boss lives in Faribault. He said the end of the lake by the boat landing is open. There will be open water somewhere by the weekend.

What about Cannon? I would think that will open by Sunday with 4 more days of sun n 70s. Mon-Tues look like real good wind with some wind Fri, Sun, and maybe Sat - all the nice warm south wind that will lift over a cold body of water. KO

Flew over Cannon on way into town this morning and it looked to be about 90% or more open water. Way to cold for me to think about going, but have fun!!

Oyeah. I was talking about Cannon Lake in the second sentence there.

Thanks for the update on Cannon!
