Nice cinematography Tighe, this video offers the viewer a peek into the spiritual side of kiting.

Thanks guys, I feel it's a bit of an experiment. The goal is to capture that elusive stoke of the ride...which is different for everyone and unique with each session, so it's definitely a challenge. Fun experimenting. Who knows where the jouney will take me.
thanks again for the kudos.

Great video! I'm heading up to Bayfield this weekend, does anyone know of any lakes/kiting spots in Norther WI closer than Gile? Looks like it's still another 1 1/2 hrs SW from Bayfield and Lake Superior doesn't sound promising.
Re: The return to Gile WI 1.29.12
I think Lake Gile might be your best option. Although, I've been watching the wind forcasted for that area, and it seems nil. I'm Hoping the forecast changes

Gile Flowage is a 1 hour drive from Bayfield. The lake has a plowed road that is super nice for set-up. That will be the closest good snow that you will find within an hour of Bayfield.

Could anyone help me with the best access point to Lake Gile/flowage ? I'm taking a solo trip around that area. thanks

Re: The return to Gile WI 1.29.12
Just take highway 2 all the way to Hurley, hop on 51 for a bit then take 77 out of town to Gile...bout 2 miles. Look for the ball field on your left and turn left down to the lake. When at the lake you'll need to jog to the left a block to get on the road that heads out across the lake.
Would love to hear how your trip works out. It's a beautiful area. May head back up again soon.

No Wind Saturday. I headed back to Duluth after doing Book Across The Bay.
The Chequamegon Bay was in great shape, about 1 1/2 inches of adhered snow. Had there been any wind I would of set up there.

Heading to Northern Wisconsin this weekend to ride, hopefully head to the Gile on sat., Any prefered wind directions from that spot? Or is the flowage pretty accessible to get launched no matter direction? If Gile doesn't work out, probably head south towards Arbor Vitae (Minocqua) and hit up Trout LK if anyone will be in the area.
