Finally Got Out On Wissota

Just about ready to give up for the season...but was lured out to Lake Wissota yesterday. Two of us out in almost perfect first time of the year winds...a pretty steady and smooth 14 or so. Ice around the shoreline was about 12 inches, sure it was less out in the middle. No vehicles on the big lake yet...not even any snowmobile tracks out further. Snow coverage was about 75%+ and the ice areas were soft enough to keep a decent edge. All in all a pretty good day (except for the Packers). Expecting a bit more snow overnight...fingers crossed.
