It was great for the 15 minutes it lasted.

Got there and it was sunny, warm, and blowing at a steady 25. Booties but no gloves with my 7mm. Got a few stretches in with some good waves until I was about 300 yards from shore and my power strap snapped. The strap was worn a bit but I expected a little more use out of it. I released the kite as soon as I realized the strap snapped. I just sat there floating on the surfboard(good thing I had the surfboard), watching my kite tumble endlessly in the waves, in which I realized that once it hit shore it would be smashed up against the rocky shoreline, with all those sharp bushes growing along the shoreline.

Once I got to shore I walked 100 yards down the shoreline to retreive the kite, and to my surprise the kite was still 100% full of air, and no canopy damage...very surprised  ! So all I need is a new powerstrap.

Packed up all my gear and left with a kind of good feeling; it could have been way worse. Then again, im an opptimist :D

Bryan, I probably wont be able to make it out today because of that, but im gonna try to get something in on monday or tuesday. Have fun today!

Sailed the bay at my house (at 38th on Park Point). Came in for a systems check to see if I was still in one piece. I felt good but figured maybe it would be best to leave the water in good condition rather than waiting to get in trouble. It was good to get out in a good blow.. still waiing for the Noreaster..
