Hey all,
I'm sure some of you are familiar with Patagonia's Dirtbag Diaries. Well a fellow kiter from our community has written one, my wife Kelly! You can check it out at http://www.dirtbagdiaries.com/. They feature my music in it also we'd love it if you'd give it a listen. It is the latest one at the top of the page called Wheels.
Enjoy,

Re: My Wife Wrote a Dirtbag Diary!
Very nice! Brings back many good memories.
Some years ago, between the end of grad school and beginning of real work, mortgages and parenthood, my wife and I had a few month-long dirt bag adventures in a rusty old Izuzu Trooper full of climbing, surf and ski gear. One of our favorites was the night we camped near a lake in the Beartooths and met a couple our age who had a brand-new Toyota Landcruiser. Around the fire, we eventually confessed to the couple how much we admired their wheels, which were worth about forty times as much as ours and infinitely more reliable. In response, the couple confessed how much they envied us, cash poor but time rich, with no one to answer to but each other. Turns out the couple had taken out a substantial loan to buy the Landcruiser and were both working 50-hour weeks, 50 weeks-per-year, to pay for it. While their camping trip was an exhaustively planned, once-a-year, one week, vacation, ours was just another night beneath the stars in a journey without a fixed end or destination. In the morning, when we said good-bye to our new friends, my wife and I were reminded once again that the path is the way, and in true dirt bag fashion decided we felt pretty good about our old wheels after all.
Thank you for a great story.
