HELP...!Posting Pics On Lakawa Website?

Post by Dopper »

Could someone tell me how to post pictures on the classified website? When I try to up-load them I get the warning that the file is too large. Do you have to use an old camera that has less megapixles?
I used to cut and paste pictures from the shutterfly website but that no longer works either. I would appreciate any help. I have a Mac Computer. Thank you! Doug

You need to make the images smaller with photo editing software; adobe photoshop is the standard. If you don't have access to a photo editing program you'll need to change the settings in the camera to take lower resolution pics.

PhpBB has a setting for file size, which I set at a reasonable size.. If it allowed you to put your high res image in you would have to scroll around the image to see the whole thing like you were zoomed way in.
What I usually do is export the photos I want from iPhoto to another folder somewhere and during the export you have quite a few resolution/quality options. Don't worry you can cut the quality and size down quite a bit before you'll notice it on the screen. Screen resolution is only 72 dpi.

Hope that helps
