Malmo was great this weekend. We can talk conditions, wind, bugs, etc..........but one thing I particularly enjoyed was the way people came together, maybe went outside the comfort zone, and participated in something new.
For those not in attendance, I am referring to the Ultimate Frisbee Game........which was rad!
It was great to do something active while we were waiting for the wind. I enjoyed playing with everyone, we all learned something new, pushed ourselves, got in some exercise, and had fun. Between the bug infested out of bounds area and diving catches, one could not ask for more. Leaving that game we all have a new connection, and share a distinct experience.
We do not get a lot of opportunities to do things (besides kite) with people inside the community, maybe Saturday was the start of something new.
Lets keep it going.

Re: Power of the Bee
I concur. We can all moan and groan about driving two hours for little or no wind but having other things to occupy our time made it worth the drive no matter what. Pretty tough to complain about a nice day at the lake…………
I will take a moment to moan and groan a little about the wind just because I can….. I am getting to the point where I can get upwind a little bit and the first ride I had on Saturday morning felt real good and I knew it was going to be the day in which I was going to be able to get back to my starting point without having to take a walk of shame. But alas, the wind died down before I could prove that to myself and I did end up walking back from north of the launch area (along with others as well). Now if someone would have come by and offered me the use of a 17 meter Turbine, things may have worked out differently.
