Calhoun Swimming Lanes???

Post by wyatt »

Anyone know anything about this? I just read an article in the Southwest Journal which says it's been approved by the Minneapolis Park Board:

Wondering if anyone has looked at the impact on navigation. 500 yards out into the lake seems pretty far.

I wonder what is meant by "lanes". And I would hope that any such "lanes" would be near shore so as not to interfere with sailing and windsurfing.

Triathlon athletes want a place to do open water conditioning and not have to worry about getting dinged by a boat (or windsurfer).
