I'm trying to get the captain of the Rubicon (44' St Francis) to move over to the Virgin Islands for a month or so this winter for a kiteboarding vacation. I need some other groups to book the catamaran to make it happen. If I can get a couple groups to book between Feb-March we can have our own private catamaran for unlimited Kiting and Fun.
I booked a trip with this guy last winter in the Bahamas for kiting and had a blast. I was talking with him about wanting to Kite in the virgin Islands and he said if he had a few trips booked he would move over there for a few months for the winter of 2012. I'm not putting this together to make anything other than I want to kite for a week around the Virgin Islands this winter. He would do a better pricing than his web page and you could book the entire Cat with captain who is a kiter and have the islands to where ever you want to go. Pricing for the Boat would be around $5100 for boat and captain. So divided that between your group and with food and alcohol you could do it for under $2000 a person. attached are some photos from the last trip.
Check out his website http://www.kitesurfandsail.com or his Facebook page kite surf and sail. Contact the captain Adam at his page or myself skico06@yahoo.com if your interested in booking your own trip this winter.

Skico - I have bareboated several times, both in the Virgin Islands and Greek Isles (as captain of a 42' cat). It is an absolute blast and add kiting? Wow. I'll keep an eye on this thread and keep me posted.

I have always been interested in this type of trip as well. The kite charters through Reel sports, Zenith Ocean voyages look excellent but pricey. Always interested in this type of trip given the right price and high percentage of wind. We kited St Lucia last January/Febuary and had fantastic wind, so a charter out of there would be interesting as well hitting some of the local spots north or south.

ME TOO! Looks like a spot where Pam & I snorkled & saw our first squid. I'd be interested to know how many she holds comfortably & some bottom line figures. I've crewed on keelboats, & used to sail Hobies before windsurfing, then kiting.....
