All open in Duluth!

Post by Stroh »

River, Harbor and the Mother are wide open! Still some ice stacked up on park point though.

Dave and I rode out of Barkers Island today! Wind was off and on, but still a great day! Tomorrow is looking good as well! High of 65 with SW wind 15 to 20 mph. I have a test in the morning and am planning on heading to Park Point afterwards… ETA 11:00am

I will post an update on the Ice pile on the lakeside when I get home.

How's the ice pile on along park point?
The camera shows a huge pile near the canal.
Does the ice pile extend the entire length of park point? Wisconsin point?
Big wind Thurs and Fri.

Thanks,Tim

Best wind looks to be Thursday and Friday... Saturday might be good as well.

The ice is blocking access so I doubt we will be riding the big waves, probably end up on the on the harbor.

At the airport there looks to be an accessible spot through the ice but I think it might be dangerous to try.

Dave and I are going to start the day tomorrow at 22nd st and ride on the flat-water between the beach and the ice then move down to the airport and ride on the harbor side.

hard to believe, but its now all clear on the beach on Park Point. We had 30 foot hight piles of ice last weekend, and now the beach is clean, wind gusting to 40 (and a wind chill of about 10 degrees)

Get out there and shread!

I'm still cold from yesterday! probably going out tomorrow though... Chip? I know you don't ride in anything less than 30 but maybe you should try out that new hip in lighter wind!

I'm guessing Joe and dave will come out tomorrow. Jeff and Brian are hiding in padre!
