Friday and Saturday look good!!!
Where is everyone going Saturday?
Re: Friday and Saturday look good!!!
Waconia is going to be going off. Unless the snow is better on Swede.

Re: Friday and Saturday look good!!!
Might have to make a trip out there this year, have not been out there yet, I need the Waconia fix!
Re: Friday and Saturday look good!!!
Not sure about Saturday, but heading to WBL on Friday with ChuckRogWBL. Should be out there mid morning to later afternoon sometime.
Re: Friday and Saturday look good!!!
WBL lake was great tonight. The surface is about as soft as it gets. Crashes feel like landing on a down pillow. It was a bit slow even with Rain X. Should be great for you on Friday.
Waconia probably has the deepest snow in the area. They received nearly 18 inches when much of the city saw around 6-8. With the warm temps on Friday in the 40s, we'll need all the depth we can get. Hopefully the rest of the lakes won't turn to puddles again.
I'm probably gonna do Waconia on Saturday, unless we hear of some fields in the SE that got dumped on today.

Anyone ride Waconia today? What is the condition of the surface?
I'd like to get out tomorrow but I broke my midwest skis so I'll be stuck with my rockered pow sticks which are pretty sketchy on ice and hardpack.
Cheers!

Saturday Night Ride @ Bellaire on WBL! Probably heading out there 5 or 6ish.....
Re: Friday and Saturday look good!!!
I'm heading to Waconia now. I hope there are others there, because I don't know if I will go out in this without observers. It is nuking!

Thanks for coming out to ride with me, Eric. Those were some radical conditionsEric P wrote:I'm heading to Waconia now. I hope there are others there, because I don't know if I will go out in this without observers. It is nuking!

Great session on WBL yesterday. Fun rides with Randy, Keith, Jim, Bill, Todd and a face from the past, Max. A few others were out but not sure who they were...was that you on the ozone Mike?
the sky was unreal all afternoon. Haven't seen clouds like before. It was like an ever changing painting. breathtaking
The sun felt good, the temps were right and the surface was fast though a bit loud (easily remedied with more volume to the tunes). There were a few islands of soft powder to carve quietly. The conditions made for some big floaty, long, and perfectly quiet, jumps. The winds were 18-25 most of the afternoon....perfect for the 12m. Max was pretty stoked on the 10m Rally he demo'd. He dialed in some big jumps with feather soft landings. Great stoke on tap.
Looking forward to hearing how the sessions went around the region.

Re: Friday and Saturday look good!!!
We (myself and Joe/madtrix) drove out from Bellaire around 5:30pm to a point that was about halfway across the bay to Mahtomedi Beach just before all the kites over there began to drop. We got in some great night riding, and I agree, the surfface on WBL is patchy but ridable. I'm planning for Ramsey on Wed morning, but we'll see how the surface looks at that point.
We're getting the whole jumping thing down at this point and are really looking forward to some time on (and above) the water this summer. All those jumps put some torque on the ab muscles that they haven't seen in quite some time. Time to get in shape while the ice melts.
