Might suggest a location other than right in front of Garrison. That area is booked throughout the year with other events. Maybe we enter the ice there and head out a mile or so. Either that or just call the location based on the wind direction.

That time of year there will be an access charge for most of the roads onto the ice. Not much though.

Feb 21 is Presidents day, so that weekend tends to get pretty busy with family activities due to no school on Monday. Hotels might be a challenge in the area so if you are planning to stay overnight, book early.

hought we would do this just like the summer gathering, just meet at Garrison, drive out a ways, we can enter through the public boat landing in front of Macdonalds and just drive out and park and have fun.

The owner of Garrison sports has lots of fish houses for rent that sleep six.
They're pretty reasonable and he said he would move them right to the kite site or anywhere for that matter.
Didn't look like he was too booked up for the season so he may also wheel and deal as well.
