How good is pretty good? Is there a couple of inches for the base? Is it stuck to the ice or will I be scraping it clean on a snowboard?

Where did you ride, Kite Island?

So many questions...

I drove out from St. Louis Bay to big island. The snow is around 2" and attached. Not enough wind yesterday. Snowboard might scratch it off. The sailing school island at the mouth of St. Louis Bay will be good tomorrow.
...on skis anyway.

Hi All –
I just took a snowmobile ride on Tonka checking conditions.
I checked out Smithtown Bay, Spring Park Bay, Carmen’s, Lafayette, Big Island to Kite Island.
Nice snowmobile ride, but all 2 inches of powder on glare ice. Better have excellent edges to give it a go. I am going to stay off until more dumpage.
Just trying to save you some effort. If someone rides it, let me know what you thought. Thanks!
