Just talked with Dakota Co. Sheriff. The lake is still off limits for public use. A few of us were asked to leave a couple weeks ago.

Did he say why? Problems with Mr Hanky swimming in the flood waters?

Cannon affected too?

Says it's the water level. Have had no issues with Cannon. Most likely going to hit up Pepin WI.

11/2/10 Access to the lake is still closed to the public as far as going in at the county parks. Apparently, they can't boot you off the lake if you access from private land. It wont be open until the water level is below the damn. They are trying to lower the water level. This information comes from the Goodhue County Sheriff.
