Re: Snowboards
A twin 159 up to a 164 for the specs is very nice. The performance is very extreme. You should try it on your gear. On snowboards, I want to try the Grudge Snowboard as considered to be the best snowboards for park.

Re: Snowboards
When It comes to strictly snowboarding I have tried it all. I live In Montana in the winter and have had over 150 days a year for the past 4 years. During my 11 years of snowboarding I have owned over 20 boards and have ridden at lease 50 of friends boards. In the past three years optional camber and side cut has exploded into a mass assortment of options. This makes it difficult to choose a board that is for you and your sport. Being new to kiteboarding and have never tried it on snow I am very excited!!!
I know that for regular snowboarding the best boards for me are made buy Never Summer. I have a Never Summer Legacy 163 and a Sl-r 161 that are never summers version of revers camber and regular camber with addition to the side cut having 7 contact points(like the lib-tec boards but different). I have ridden Lib-tech and they are also good.
I think the most important thing when thinking about buying a new board is to consider where it is made!!!! Most companies have moved all of there manufacturing to China. Burton started off in U.S. then moved to Austria where the quality of the boards were still very good. Then after the demand for Burton products exceeded the supply they moved to China, this is the same when talking about the recent split off company Rome. Little know that Burton owns many other companies like Forum, Red, Anon goggles, and Ride.
On the other side of the fence there are small snowboard companies that still produce a quality product made rite here, on home grounds like, Lib-Tech, Never Summer, Venture and a hand full of others. This is the only way to ensure that the money you spend it worth the product. Good old hand made in America! Also Never Summer is the only company that offers a three year warranty on any factory defects.(see early post about cracked cores).
I am not a never summer rep. I just know a good product when I see one. If any one has any questions about snowboarding let me know I am a level 3 certified Instructor and will be in Big Sky, Mt if any one wants to come out Ill show you around. Ethan

Re: Snowboards
Libtech is not exactly a small compnay, they're owned by Mervin Mfg who also make Gnu boards. Not what I would put in the same grouping of hand made builders as Never Summer and Venture.

Yes I supose that when simply talking about the amount of snowboards a company produces I may have droped the ball on that one but when speaking quality I think that Lib-Tech still fits in there
Re: Snowboards
Never Summer are def one of the sickest boards. Had a few over the years myself. If anyone needs a Never Summer shred stick stop by and see my friend Scott @ Cal Surf in mpls.
Got me a new shred stick coming myself really excited for this board. If Interested you can get yours here http://www.aboards.us/

Re: Snowboards
The new boards are fun are worth a ride. I jumped on the lib tech 159 wide skate last year and found it met all my wants and needs out west. Sold on the reverse camber and the upturned edges to avoid any nasty flyswatter falls on edge catching. Looking forward to riding some new boards out west - if anyone is looking for a Utah trip the first week of March to ride what the Wasatch has to offer hit me up. booking a couple condo-s in Sandy for rides in the Cottonwood valley of Snowbird, Alta, Brighton, and Solilude - best snow on earth!
