Thinking Winter --Ski and Snowboard Swaps

Post by Pat Hinch »

I know it may be a little early to think snow but the swap meets are happening.
Here are the snow events I am aware of:
* Buck Hill ski swap this weekend - Sept 24-26
* Pierce Ski Shop swap in Bloomington - October 1 - 4
* Afton Alps swap - October 1-3 and Oct. 8-10
* Ski and Snowboard Show is at the Mall of America October 22 -24. I think the ski/snowboard reps are setting up in the common areas with events being held in the rotunda.
* Warren Miller's new show, Wintervention, is at the State Theatre on October 23rd

I know the Midwest Mountaineering winter expo is in November but don't have the exact dates.

Remember to support your local ski, snowboard, and kite shops.

Highland Hills also has a nice ski/snowboard swap(you would have to call them for the dates). They often have a good selection of skis and boards because they have an awesome terrian park with lots of jumps. They also have quite the kids racing team so they get alot of ski equipment. I can't wait to go winter kiting out at spirit Island this winter!

Early plans for the snowboarding is very good as it gives you enough time for the preparation for the said matter. Well, we can't deny the fact that it very enjoyable if you just happened to try it too. But the most exciting trick for me is the so called vertical snowboarding.
