South Superior Shore Set to Go Again
Hoping to see some of you at Herbster or Cornucopia on Sunday/Monday. We'll be camping at Herbster. So far the models are looking pretty sweet. Warm water, smooth wind, sunsets, terrain, sugar plum fairies dancing in my head....oh well....off to see the Wizard...because, because, because

I know that Cornucopia has some cool B and B. I haven't really paid that much attention, so don't have any direct experience. With the Bluesfest going on in Duluth, I'd suggest getting reservations, however.

Awesome. I'm up in iron river all week. This is the best augst wind up here I've seen in years! I ran into Dave1234 at the gas station. He says the Duluth crew is planning to represent. Should be fun!!

Great times! Last week I met Peter who will be getting into kiting, he told a couple kiter friends he knew about this spot and they joined us Sunday. Scott and Trevor....great to ride with you. JohnZ, how fortuitous for us all that you had a family gathering going on. We truly enjoyed your positive vibe on and off the water.
The wind was 4-5M windsurf, 8M kite for much of the day and it lulled back just a bit before stoking right back up. Stroh, you ride with such great style. We had the locals thinking we were pretty good 'til you hit the seen. Mike got the afterglow evening session. So, Tighe, the stoke was very well represented at the Herbster.
We got rocked in our van through the night and woke to perfect 12M dawn patrol. Stroh, did any of you make it back out today? Jane had enough of the strong wind by mid-morning, so we got back to Forest Lake by 3pm to find lit conditions. Ah Dorothy...so nice to be home. Three more hours of paradise. Love that Wizard.
Six days on Superior within the past two weeks, and it's August!!
Hats off to the Cabrihna team. The 2010 Switchblade is magic. I swear it has more intelligence than I do. Sail designers, board designers, kite designers...you're very special people who've blessed us with exquisite experiences thanks to your innovations.

Yeah, it is really nice up here... Really, September weather except it is warm! It was great to hang out with Stroh, Randy, Jane, and Steph, amongst others on Sunday. The big rollers out there were amazing. The wind was 20 up into the high 30's (i think). Randy was poleboarding and kiting all day. Finished up at Fish Lips in Corny.
Then we hit it again today. Almost as windy! Big terrain out there once again, but almost zero shore break. Dave, Brian, Bev, Jeff, and a couple others joined the party. Thanks for rescuing my harness!
Looking decent for tomorrow... And maybe Wednesday! I'm getting a little worn out!

Sounds great. I can relate to the soar body. Just looking at experimental, looks like you can ride again today with the last of the westerlies and if you want to find a shore with southern exposure, tomorrow looks solid SW, with Thursday solid south on north shore of Lake Michigan. That's seven solid big lake days of available riding. Again, while it's a bit of a drive, Sandy Point (Pictured Rocks) in UP of Michigan is sooo sweet.
