Shy,
Where can we order the Rally? You mentioned the slingshot site, but I can't find any mention of it there. I also checked Midwest Mountaineering (local dealer) and they don't have it either...?

Sorry completely different once you step under it and see it live. No 5th line too... See a North everyday with a nice 5th wrap in the middle of the CG.. Can't believe they didn't make something similar to the SS Wave Grenade to release that line if that does happen...

Offical info should be out within the week on www.slingshotsports.com . This was a video I made for my dealers and anyone else that would like to have a sneak peak at the kite. Just basic info and profile cuts. Hopefully this was useful? Midwest and Scuba will be totally boned up with info and kites soon... supply and demand.... Spark that demand and they will supply that prodcut...

Also I will make a Fall SLINGSHOT Demo trip soon. Look for updates from Authorized Slingy Dealers and your local forum, LAKAWA.

A shade under $2000.00 WOW, all kite companies if anything should be dropping prices, I can't imagine in an economy like it is right now that to many kite companies will be selling a whole lot of kites? Kite prices should if anything be going down, the comapnies should be making kiting more attainable to more people, every time I have someone ask me about kiting on the beach, the very first or second question they ask is what does something like this cost, and when you tell them they normally do one of two things, they laugh and ask for real, or they just say oh yeah hey thanks and walk away. I can't imagine kite compainies now days have seen a huge surge in sales? High cost has always been an issue with kites, most people are looking for that really nice used kite now days that's $450.00 or even $500.00 on the high side can cost. It's an interesting market, I'm really surprised that some of the companies have made it this far? Any one else have any thoughts on kite pricing? One other question, how much do you think the companies really pay the people who make the kites in China or the Phillipines, not as much as you make I can tell you that, but yet the cost of kites keeps going up?

I agree the consumer price for kites is a lot...I'm not sure it is inappropriate though. I'm amazed how expensive kite boards are too. The amount of labor that goes into a single board is huge, so I can start to see where the cost is. Hard to weigh in without really understanding all the factors that go into these costs i.e. liability, shipping, labor, design, materials, work comp, salary/benefits, marketing, dealer commissions, etc.

I'm sure these expenses are significant for a kite company. I'm just hoping there is enough margin in their product to sustain the business, thus giving us some options to choose from.

I agree for the most part, but the labor costs are so low in Asia that it really does not justify the high costs. I run a plant in China for a product and the labor is so low, the people over there need to wake up and demand higher pay. So many products made over sea's it's not even funny. The USA used to be such an industrial country, not the case any more, it's really sad.

looks interesting for sure - Id like to take a spin on your kite Randy - what size are you getting ? Ill be picking up some of the new cab 2011 kites as soon as I decide if I want crossbow or switchblade for the season. New toys are so much fun! Anyone interested in picking up year old cabs for about half of retail let me know

Rob,
I ordered a 12 and 14 and you can definitely take them for a spin, just in time for the fall winds.

REAL has them in stock now, too, for $25 less! I'm sure Larry or Pete could order one for you.. Buy local, pay some tax, but save on shipping & get better service after the sale. Curious to see how they compensated for the pulleys. Hmmmm.

psyched to check out this new kite. I just like the concept. Simplicity power and boost. Three huge things for me.

I've got some coming as well toward the end of the month. (can't let Randy have all the fun ; )

I'm reading some good reviews of the 14m. Might be a good light wind toy. Easy relaunch, light 3 strut design, fast and efficient..nice.

I have no experience with Delta's though. Sorta cool to discover a new kite type. I remember eating my words when bows first came out. Took an opinion out of ignorance and was so wrong.

I'll have them for demos hopefully for the fall season.
