I tried out an Octane last winter, and was happy to find that SS had FINALLY come up with a design which began to reach the performance level of my beloved Waroos. I set my '09 waroo next to an octane and was amazed at the simialrity of shape. I felt that the octane had some nice performance characteristics, but was a little scary in the depower area comapred to my waroo. I was disappointed in the revs & rpm's, didn't like the heavy bar pressure and inversion tendencies of the early TD's, so I'm glad they have a kite I might consider owning. I hope the KEY proves to be another winner.

Interesting perspective Jim. Just goes to show everyone is looking for something different in a kite. The two kites that you were disappointed in (Revs and RPMs) were some of the most popular and sought after kites SS has produced. They have sold out almost instantly with every shipment. The T3 is the most popular kite in Minnesota.
If they didn't work for you though, then none of that matters. Thanks for checking them out. Your quiver seems to be working for you...cause you've definitely taken it up a notch this year.
