Hello Fellow Speed Sailors,

The winds for Saturday, May 1, look excellent. The WEATHER FORECAST calls for base winds of 26, with gusts of 37. These are great Speed Sailing Conditions. The Lake has warmed up, and it is great way to start the Season.

As always, we will have great demo gear here from the best names in the Industry.



This Event follows the Rules and Methods of GPS Speed Surfing. Speed shall be measured by "The Best Ten Second Run".

The LOCOSYS GT31 will be provided to all racers.

All Racers will be provided a Gath Helmet upon request, courtesy Murrays Watersports.

As part of The 2010 Economic Stimulus Package, we will be offering the following:

On May 1, any Sailor with a Best 10 Second Run of 30 Knots or faster, will receive either a GT31 GPS, a Windtronic 2 Wind Meter, or a Gath Water Sports Helmet.

The Best Alpha Speed for the day wins $100 CASH!

Any Female Sailor with a Best 10 Second Run of 20 Knots or faster will receive either a GT31 GPS, a Windtronic 2 Wind Meter, or a Gath Water Sports Helmet.

Any Youth Sailor (18 or younger) with a Best Ten Second Run of 10 Knots of faster will receive either a  GT31 GPS, a Windtronic 2 Wind Meter, or a Gath Water Sports Helmet or $100 CASH. The winds on Saturday are a bit extreme for newer riders, so this package will be extended to the first Youth Racer in 2010.


New for 2010, we are willing to recognize GPS Speed Kite Boarders. The First Kite Boarder with a Best Ten Second Run of 30 Knots or faster is eligible for either a GT31 GPS, a Windtronic 2 Wind Meter, or a Gath Water Sports Helmet.

If there is sufficient interest from the Kite Board Community, up to $1000 CASH will be awarded to Top Riders in 2010.

As always, we offer free Child Care, Pet Care, and Spousal Care (care of the Speed Sailing Widow)!

There will be drawings for great prizes from DAKINE, The Windsurfing Movie,  and The Red Bull Storm Chase.

We have discounted rooms available at the Worthington AmericInn. Please let us know in advance if you need a room.

We also have free or discounted meals at the La Azteca Mexican Resaurant.

We will have a free copy of the new WINDSPORT MAGAZINE 2010 BUYERS GUIDE for every Racer.
