North-northeast wind/White Bear
Does anyone know if Bellaire is a possibility?

Mike, I think Forest Lake will be another option for tomorrow if you don't want make the drive to Duluth... Just 15 minutes north of WBL. St Croix sounds good too.

SW corner of the lake... I think it is the city beach? I was there a couple of times with NE winds. I remember it was a nice beach area to set up your kite and then you could walk into the lake with enough room to do a self launch.
Saul and I are going to go there tomorrow if the wind is not north... I think directly north wind won't work in this spot.

from either 237th, or city beach , to my fothers place on the ssse side of first lake., with a kite. not to many kite killer 100m kite killer dockes in the lake yeat. forgive my spelling im dislexic and drinkin surly, dont tell my wife! what does the underlining mean?
Re: North-northeast wind/White Bear
Bellaire would work OK...I can only go in the morning, but I think I would head to St. Mary's POint (St. Croix) for the better terrain (?)
anyone wanna join me around 9:30 or 10?

Re: North-northeast wind/White Bear
Geoff do you think St Croix would be a better choice on NE than Waconia's south beach?

Re: North-northeast wind/White Bear
I think the wind can funnel in through the points at WB, especially with decent winds and the more NE it is the more it lines up going in towards bellaire. I'm coaching baseball until 2ish and then would like to get out. Post if you'll be at Bellaire mid afternoon or how late you'll be at forest lake - I've never hit that city beach. Can someone post a google link with exactly where it is?
Thanks

Luiz Yes - Waconia would probably be better - there is nice swell on north / NE winds from the beach. Sometimes it is sort of on/off, but it will be like that at WBL or St. Croix, too.
I don't have the 1-1/2 hrs needed for R/T drive time for Waconia, so I will stay east. Kevin is right - there is a little funnel where the wind lines up on NE. Docks Can be a pain, but beach is easy enough to launch from.

I'll try St Croix again. Two Fridays ago it delivered sweet ramps (NW). ETA 11:00 AM.
BTW - Here's the map address for Belaire:

Forest Lake, ETA 1pm
Re: North-northeast wind/White Bear
I've got to stay local today. I'm sure Waconia's south beach is a good pick. Bellaire @ 2:00 for me.
