TRAVEL INSURANCE

Post by JRN »

I JUST SURFED A WEBSITE CALLED: INSURE MY TRIP.COM. I'm always concerned that the airlines will lose my gear if I change planes. I was able to compare prices & coverage, and found a policy that includes $2500 lost luggage, a million medivac, and more for around $60. Last trip I was almost hoping they would lose it, so I could shop for new gear in Padre.

NormaNN,

Does the insurance it cover a three-day-wind-interference broken down rent-a-car episode?

Does it cover broken glasses from unexpected and very unintentional Speedo glance?

Can it replace all my extra emotional baggage? I plan on losing most it purposefully on trip to SPI....

That sound pretty fair. I've spent more just to cover my boards on Fed Ex. when shipping them ahead. I'm always abit nervous at the baggage claim until I see that those bags appear.

Not to say, "I told you so." but, In light of Deb's mishap, she could have been medivac'd right off the beach to a hospital of her choosing. I did it mainly to insure my gear, never dreaming one of us would need the medical coverage. Helped to know we had 2 M.D's in the group. Glad she had such great responders! Thanks guys.

I guess she tripped at the bon-fire & broke both her tibia & fibula. Didn't want a week in a So. Tex. hospital, so she tuffed it out 'til the plane ride home. They don't get any gutsier than Mnsota, kiter, climber chicks! Hope she's back on top soon!
