Hey guys, is anyone going to be in padre during that week? i think i might drive down with some of my friends who dont kite, but itd be sweet if there was some minnesota/wisconsin people down there ridin, im still somewhat new to it and all.

Hey C - Im temporally working down here. And have a wind clause in my contract. So Ill be flying around. Also Jim and Patty are down here too. There will always be some kiters on the south or north flats if its blowing. Im having a bonfire either on the 19th or the 20th on the beach, your welcome to join us if you’re here. Gary ~

ROOKS, R U still going to be there during the kite Round-Up? I was thinking it'd be cool to demo all those kites & boards, so I'm trying to convince my son, the skateboarder, that he should come along. It was (literally) a blast to ride with you & "the other Jim" that nuking day on the flats last fall. Even my 7m was lit. Never has a blown back-roll hurt so good!

In my prep for our group trip down on 4/9 I'm learning of a few others like yourself that will be visiting before and after our trip. Looks like you will have some comrades

Im gonna be in the very south end of padre at a campsite my brother recommended, i dont know where that is in comparison to everything else down there, but all i know is that i can not wait to get down there!

Yo Yo…..Jimmbo ( Mr Witty ) Yea I plan on dragging this job out till the begining of May. Then driving back after the Round up. Come on down! The coolest part for me last year was the clinics from the pros, and watching them ride. How inspiring!! There will be free clinics with trainer kites everyday if your son isn’t flying yet. And if you think the unsuccessful backrolls hurt……wait for the front rolls!! Ouch!

C - If you need any info about the island just shoot me an e-mail garythehammer at Comcas.net .Your campground is on the way south end, and the flats are about 3 miles on the north end of town.

Watching Leroy and Miramendes in the big air contest was one of the highlights of the trip for me. Insane....

I expect to be at the round up. Nancy and I will be there april 10 thru 23rd for fun. Then I'll go back down for the round up for work, Ozone will have all their new toys ( 3 new kites ) available for demos.

Sounds great! I'll buy the 1st round of Shiner's. Are you flying or driving, Steve? I think Katie is flying. Is it too crowded to kite ourselves? Is there enough demo gear, or do we bring our own? Can't wait!

Mr Wit - Id bring all your equipment, unless your just over an airport limit. The event takes place on the south flats. but most riders were at the north flats. see ya soon! G ~
