Dinner with Michelle Dickinson. Feb 19th 6.30pm

Post by Lee_Uptown »

Hey all,

Michelle's coming back for a short visit. She loves Little Szechuan, which is located on University Ave. between the intersection of Dale Ave. and Western Ave. in St Paul.(http://www.littleszechuan.com/directions/) We are set on having dinner there this Friday, 19th at 6.15pm and would like to invite those of you interested in joining us. I will need to make a reservation By thursday, so please show me your nays and ayes here or Facebook! After dinner, we're heading to see 50/50 (Steve and Nancy's band) in trollhaugen. To my understanding, Trollhaugen has their runs open till 3 a.m. so we can go absolutely nuts there. Anyway, let me know!

I'd love to do it , our singers ( a married couple ) have a two year old which makes it hard for them to do a gig where they'll have to stay overnight. They have to pay for a babysitter to travel.
Now if Mike could cover their costs...who knows.

Awesome to hear you have a crew coming Kate....stoked. Bummer about Nate being away.
It's 1.40 am. now and we just got home from rehearsing, the guys were souding very sharp tonight. I hope we didn't use up our groove juju for the week and end up sucking Friday. Christening a new drummer Friday. J.V. is his name, very tight with an awesome feel. Plus he's one heck of a nice guy.

Can't wait, can't go to bed either I'm too wired from playing.

We start at 9 p.m . We'll be there setting up from about 7.30 p.m.
Tonights a pretty big night at Troll. The Courage Center which raises money and runs ski programms for Handicapped atheletes is have a fund raiser in the convention center. There's two bands booked there, one of them is supposed to have one of the Vikings as a drummer, but I'm afraid I don't know his name. There's a cover charge for those gigs but I'd say ithe moneys going to a superb cause.
Then we're playing in the upstairs bar in the main chalet, no cover charge.

I know quite a few of you are coming and I just want to say it's awesome to play and see your friends out there in the crowd. It's takes a gig from impersonal to playing for friends which is much more fun.
For those of you making the trek to Troll thanks very much, I hope you have a great time, I know we will be and seeing you makes it all the more fun.
Some of you have made every gig we've played and are planning to be there tonight as well. Suckers for punishment but such supportive friends, I just don't have the words to express my gratitude.

See you tonight, we're really looking forward to it, it's going to be a great night. :D

Ooh Jeff, I won't be able to help tonight but if you ever decide you need help refining your skills on a snowboard let me know, I'd be happy to help tweek your technique.
I used to be a proper instructor but gave it up to teach kiting, time issues. Over the years I've had a lot of fun teaching various Lakawans to snowboard, it's always a riot and an awesome way to spend time in the great outdoors.
Just let me know and we can team up somewhere sometime.

I'm planning on getting there at 7:00 which is when the rates drop. I'll probly be with my 7yr old daughter for a bit. I just hope she doesn't try and drag me down anthing steep! Thanks for the offer Steve, I went for a few days with a buddy last year and got a lot of good pointers. We will see how much I remember.

Sounds like it will be pretty busy. See you all tonight

Lovely to see so many people at Trollhaugen last night. Thanks everyone for making the Trek into the frozen wastelands.

I hope you all got a good nights rest, heaven knows a lot of us were up past our bedtimes. 8)
