Shadowcam footage from Sunday

Post by Tighe »

Here's a small piece of the footage I took with a Shadowcam rig I made. Still is going to require a bit of tweaking. I'd like to get a bit more of the kite in the image, but overall I think it captures things well. Those GoPro lens are so wide you really have to get close to be able to see anyone else.

Great work Tighe. How did you get a hold of the Shadowcam Rig. Did you buy that rig or make your own? I emailed those guys last year and didn't get any response.

It's a McGruver special. Running a GoPro Hero HD on it.

Want to still tweak it a bit to get the kite and board in the shot.

And I gotta make it collapsible to get in my bag to take on the plane. Got some late nights ahead.

Just a thought...
With such a wide lens you may want to try rotate the camera 90 then undo that when you post process. This should allow you to grab the kite and the board at once.

Otherwise sweet setup.

I'll check out filming it end on end. Think I can do a 90 degree rotation in my editing software pretty easily. Seems like it might trim a bit though.

Toe side riding is where it's at. Prefer to ride toeside when I can, at least when going to the right. slice it up
