Helmet cam?

Post by Travii »

I stumbled across this helmet cam the other day. It uses two AAA batteries and one SD flash card. Resolution is 640x480 at 30 fps which is pretty good for a base model cam. I'm thinking about buying one since it's only $60 and it would be fun to have for the snowkiting season. Any thoughts?

Yeah I've seen some footage from the Gopro cameras and they look great. I think there is a few models varying from wide angle to more zoomed in...I think. Also I think I heard they are bringing out a HD version soon.

POV stuff is really pretty sweet.

The GoPro also has an option to strap it to the center strut on an inflatable kite that gives some pretty cool shots as well. The wide angle version is definitely better. I've also heard that an HD version is on its way. I think the resolution is pretty good on the current version, but i suppose it can't be too good. The only complaint i've heard is that it's too stable! Some kayakers I paddle with like the less stable cameras that exaggerate the roughness of the whitewater.
Great, easy to use camera that gives great results.
