nice thanks Stroh. Wish I could break free this week. Would love another dance with the Mother.

Have you found that forecast site to be pretty accurate? I'll add it to the Wind page if so.

thanks and enjoy.

The link below is a personal weather station on weather underground. It has better lake exposure than sky harbor. It is located at roughly 40 above lake level, at the top of the dunes at 40th street on Park Point.

looks like it will be a great day I wish I could make it out there... I have an accounting test tomorow morning that I have to study for.
on the otherhand if I don't go ride I probably won't be very productive studing... I might stop by for a quick session.

It's very hard to make it to school on days like today (I drive right past the lake on my way)

I will post an update as soon as I get a chance.

What a day to be beached! The wind has come up significantly more than expected. The anemometer at my house is reading a steady 40-45 with gusts.. There should be some good stories coming back tonight.

Hope you all had a good time this afternoon.

For tomorrow, there are some really conflicted forecasts.

Usually the NOAA/EXP does a great job forecasting Lake Superior and it's one of my most trusted sources.

The marine forecast is calling for Gale force winds, but the 24hr NOAA/EXP is suggesting light winds.

If it looks good in the morning ...

My buddy and I are heading up to Duluth to do some surfing in these big waves. I am bringing my kites in case we get blown out tomorrow. Where would be a good spot to kite tomorrow with the predicted conditions? I would love to get out there on the Mother with my kite if it is going to blow like they say.
I appreciate any insight you guys could give me.
    Thanks

Hey, EO, what size kite are you riding? I do believe most kiters and surfers will be at park point. I think its gonna be a sight to see anyone who tries to kite tommorow :) I mite even try if someone can give me a hand launching and landing, i wont be out there for long with a leaky bladder.
