As some of you may be aware, Eclipse has been going through a difficult time delivering product and it has had an affect on all dealers and customers.
Recently, Dimitri announced that he is leaving Eclipse.
Below will be 2 announcements. The first is from Dimitri. The second is a letter from Chris at Eclipse.
I just wanted to be proactive and get the word out to all customers who are riding Eclipse kites. If you have any questions...please call or email me immediately so I can help with any concerns, etc. Even if you didn't buy from me, no worries, I've been in contact with Dimitri, Felix and Bill at Eclipse Daily for the last couple of weeks or so trying to iron out the problems, etc.

Dear all,
It is with a heavy heart that I write this letter to you. When I started Eclipse Kites it was a dream come true. After so many years working for other kite companies I had an opportunity to create my own brand and I was determined to build the finest kites anyone has ever flown. With the help of designer Momi and a solid group of friends and supporters like you who believed in our company's goals, we achieved a lot in a few short years.
Recently, there has been a lot of talk on the internet about a lack of service from Eclipse Kites. This is something that has been frustrating for me too because, like you, I have been rendered powerless to solve customer issues and dealer delivery problems. As a co-founder , but not co-owner of the business , there has been little I have been able to do to help resolve your problems , which has become unacceptable to me. I believe that the survival and prosperity of a company depends on one's chose of business partner. Therefore, I feel that I have no alternative but to resign from Eclipse Kites with immediate effect.
I know you have many questions and I will answer them all. Please write to me at dimitrimara@earthlink.net and let me know how I can help you.
Don't worry, I am staying in the industry and in the words of Arnie; "I'll be back". Watch this space...

Dear Friends,
All of us at Eclipse Kiteboarding would like to inform you that as of September 3rd 2009 Dimitri Maramenides has decided to resign from his current position at Eclipse Kiteboarding for his own personal reasons. All of us at Eclipse thank Dimitri for his valuable service and wish him the best of luck in all his future endeavors whatever those may be.
We would like to assure you that aside from Dimitri the entire staff is remaining on board. Eclipse will continue on with business improvements offering exiting new products with better incentives and great terms for our dealer network. Your rep will be in touch with more details shortly on some new policy's and programs we will be offering to improve efficiency and profitability for all associated with Eclipse.
We also want to take the time to update you on our Bullet Proof warranty service plan. Airtime will no longer be servicing future kite sales in North America under the Bullet Proof warranty policy, all past kites will still be covered. We have moved to another warranty provider in order to reduce the expense of this program. Had we stayed with Airtime it would not be possible for us to continue to offer this unprecedented service to our customers in the future. So we have decide to change our vendor. Approximately sixty customers have been effected by this change in policy, if you customers have received an email from airtime that means they were effected. If one of your customers inquires about this please update them about the change is service and ask them to contact warranty@eclipsekites.com
We understand that this has been a difficult year for many business as well as Eclipse, we look forward to pushing ahead with a successful future for all. We learned some valuable lessons this year on structuring production financing and planning. We hope to avoid the problems we encountered this past season.
