Anyone going to venture up to Malmo today? Its about the same distance for me as wac so I'm thinking of heading there instead. Wind is WSW at 12 now and suppose to build and switch more to the N as the day goes.

Re: Malmo today?
Nancy and I got up to Malmo today, no flies.
Had a nice little session, we only rode for about an hour and a half, it was bloody cold ,55 degrees. Still a fairly steady breeze with mid sized rollers. When the wind would swing a little more north it was a bit of a bucking bronco heading out but the swell was nice coming in, butter smooth.
Still a fine day and got to meet some new faces.

Looks like it might be rideable today, Saturday. NNW, so I'm gonna check out Malmo, or maybe Fr. Henn, perhaps Wahkon. This would be 5 straight days of riding! ETA around 11 or 12. Hope 2 C U

Re: Malmo today?
GOT THERE ABOUT NOON ON SAT. Drove to all the launches..."nuttin, Honey!" Tried Malmo again & saw spotty gusts with caps off shore. Young Adam with his Sis & Dad pulled up. Decided if I could go on my 17, he'd try his TD 14. Drift launched, but had to ride down-wind to plane. Got 1/2 way to Hunters when it started to build, and pointed 1/3 way back after several tacks. The sun came out, the wind died & I ended up 2/3 to Hunters. Luckily, Ben, Sid's Son, spotted me and hauled me back to Malmo in their boat. Thanks, Ben!! It would have been a long hike back, &. the offer for free rounds @ Carlsona still stands. But, I did mange to ride 5 consecutive days in MN in July after all!
