gathering July 10-12 Mille Lacs

Post by Tighe »

Come up and ride, hang out, BS and play for the weekend.

The gathering is a low key (hence the lower case title) non-event for all wind junkies. Don't expect registration, structure, or deadlines.

Now in it's forth year, this summer gathering has always been a great time to ride a little or a lot, catch up with people from all over the region, yak about whatever, get some instruction, whatever. Always a fun time.

If people want to through together some activities for the weekend go for it. If someone wants to organize some food options, have at it.

Looking forward to it.

Jodie and I are planning to be there again this year.

Crazy skooool is limiting my water time, so it will be great to get out.

Last year was EPIC!!! Best days I have had riding in MN hands down. I rode my Cab Switchblade II 8m both days all day. Yeahhhhhhhhh

Rock on

I tried to get a hold of Ron Wise owner of Carlsona Beach and was unable to actually talk to the man, so I got his card and Phone# 320-684-2321 and will try and call him today to get infomration on the tenting possibly at Carlsona like we have done in the past, I'll post a response as soon as I get one from him. Both days I was there Sat and Sun this last week he was not present to talk to.

Hello Tighe,
My son and I will be coming to the area for about a week from Thunder Bay of course. Spreading the word up here, hope to get an interest from the few kiters that we have here. I was wondering if you had alink to a poster that I could print or something that I could hand out here. I was only at one gathering and enjoyed myself there even though I am a windsurfer. My son, now 13 enjoys any type of event like this also. Hope the wind is up and looking forward to a good week.

At one time, a lost Canadian windsurfer who came to Minnesota to compete in regattas. Can be found sailing on a lake in Canada known as "Superior". From Thunder Bay, Ontario known as "tbayray to some Minnesota sailors thanks to Mike Fox.

sorry, but the intention of this gathering is not to be a formal "event". Then someone is responsible, accountable, etc. A poster would suggest an organized "thing".

Spread the word yourself. Your stoke is probably the best advertisement out there.

see you in a few weeks
