RJ & REDS got chased off WBL by rain, then it went to glass, now it is thunder with the threat of hail. Did we ever determine if wet spectra lines conduct charges? Oh yeah, ProtoKiter Ben Franklin already did that one. Or did he?

CALM IN BLMTN NOW. GOT A CALL FROM MR LATCHUM AT ABOUT 3 PM OR SO HE SAID IT WAS SUNNY AND 14 METER KITE AT THAT POINT. LOOKS LIKE THE LINE SET UP JUST WEST OF VICTORIA...NEED TO SEE BILLY JOEL AND ELTON JOHN THIS EVENING... NOT ENOUGH TIME BETWEEN WORK AND PLAY
Got to the wac arond 2:30. The wind seemed to be 18-20 with some big gusts going thru. Dave c., jeff G., Latchman, Brian and myself all went out on our 14m's only to see the wind come up huge with even bigger gusts. I had to cleat in my kite 6 to 8 inches which made it rideable but those huge gusts were insane. I switched to my 9m for a much nicer session. I think Minnesota riders become really good at reading the wind and riding in knarly conditions if they stick with the sport. I try to always think of the alternative - no wind-ouch, that hurts even more. Ride on!
