Saw the post below about iceout on Nokomis and had to chuckle to myself. I live about 30 minutes from the West shore of Lake of the Woods. Iceout? How about 3-4 ft of ice with about 8-10 inches of snow. Fishing has been good, and people drive pretty much wherever they want, at least as of today. Kiting's been great too, soft enuf to carve during the day, and this evening it firmed up as the temp dropped and got super fast. Good times, but I'm ready for spring.... :?
