fall in the gorge

Post by john mooney »

Very interesting. My last kiting session was oct 28, 70 degrees at Lyle on my 12 meter. A cold front went through the next day with 40 kt winds and the temp hasnt been above 48 since. Also east winds only. The town is empty the river is empty, the only excitement was a 15 year old learning to drive with her mother hit the gas instead of the brake and ended up on the bottom of hood river, they kicked their windows out and swam to the surface and survived. My picture was in the paper last week for being the lone kiter before I lost my board (never recovered). I keep my eye on the wx in MN...BRRR, but we dont have winter kiting and you do. Have fun on the ice...MOONDOG

Hi John,

Thanks for stopping by at Waconia in September. Great to hear from the Gorge. It sounds nice, even in the winter. Change is good. Do you ski or snowbard?

Chris.
