So i was wondering if it is still safe to drive out to the island....i know it has been cold latley but i have no idea how that lake works.

Anyone have an update on the snow cover out there????

the ice is definitely thick - i went iceboating on Monday and it was amazing how crystal clear the ice was without the snow on it. you could see the cracks through the ice were at least 18" and likely more in many areas. the only sketchy spot in my mind is the access at wayzata - there's an ice shove forming which can weaken the ice, just watch where you get on and you should be fine.
