Big Marine's pretty close to me, so I'm guessing it has 1-2" over pretty smooth ice. It had enough time without wind overnight to bond before it blew today. All I need is an edge!

How's Lake Wissota in Chippewa Falls? They should have quite a bit.

I'm going to ride the bear in the afternoon if the conditions line up. There was about 1/2" of bonded snow on there this morn. Does Big Mariine have more snow? There was more snow further east. Friday has potential too. Maybe some more snow.

I checked out Big Marine this morning (thursday) and it's in terrible condition. A relentless 30kt wind yesterday scraped off any snow, left a few widely scattered drifts and lots of rough ice in between. Big Carnelian is the same, so must be WBL I would guess.

Some snow, please!!

Oh well. Maybe next week.
