Anybody up for a sesh Wed.

Post by davec »

Think i'm going to take a half day and get out tomorrow. Its going to be NNW, windy and cold. Were's everybody going? If it has to much north kite islands no good right? Swede will be alright on the other side of the lake. Waconia is probably all rutted up and only got 3 inches. Maybe I'll check out swede tonight and see how much snow actually stuck.

I am going to be out on TONKA all day. If the breeze goes more north you can launch over by the Lake Minnetonka Sailing School and BUG Island. It catches the Northerly very well. There is an easy access boat launch and a sheltered area to rig. Might be some ice houses though but usually ok.

The new wind forecaster seems to be higher than all the rest. I hope it proves right! So far it seems lighter than predicted and was a touch light on Monday.

I got in early to do another 3:30-6pm sess like Monday. Another 1.5" was on the ground this morning to add to Mondays 7  Who can't love powder!
ENJOY :) ........... Bill

Heading out to Swede with Adam H. around 12:30. If he has his plow on maybe we'll make a pile for a kicker.

YO REDS! U WERE JUST PACKING UP WHEN I GOT LAUNCHED. Terry & I rode about an hour longer. My nose kept peeking out under the mask & soon my toes & fingers were tingling, but not in a good way. It was time to bag it & head out. Thanks again for the launch, Terry! I'm still looking for that soft snow pile to boost above. Where is that Sumo Suit? :|

I was out on Diamond lake yesterday afternoon and into the evening, there is about 8 inches of fresh pow covering the whole lake with 1 to 1.5ft drifts all over, the wind was a little light but fun to be out none the less!! I'm going to hit Big Lake one of these south wind days!!
