I carry mine in a PVC tube zip tied to the top of my bar. Can't recall the exact diameter of the tube, but take your ice screw to the hardware store and check a few for sizing. My Black diamond fits perfect with just enough resistance to stay put, although I also use a short bungee strap to secure it.

A perfect fit for a broken pump hose.
