Medicine Lake - same. I think city lakes are wrecked until more snow.

How about Mille Lacs?
the Hunters Point web cam shows good snow cover remaining... http://www.hunterspointresort.com/bobbercam.html

I kited on the north end of ML on Christmas Day. Gorgeous conditions. I would expect a crusted over 6-8" layer of snow remains. If I go up there I'll give a report.

I'm up in Baxter for the holiday. Gull Lake was beautiful on Christmas day...about a foot and a half of powder and even the snowmobile tracks were soft.
Yesterday I arranged for a downwinder across Round Lake, but the wind wasn't strong enough for my 9 Ranger. Same story yesterday evening on White Sand.
The snow was perfect for snowballs yesterday, but the temp peaked at just over freezing, so it'll be slick, but there's still solid ice and a good base in the Brainerd Lakes area.

Tonka is destroyed:
The ice is still thick. But that nice fluffy snow is gone. To make matters worse. The Atv's, sleds and cars made tracks in the slush that are now frozen into tripping devices, that will below the next new snow. It will take a few snow storms to fix the damage.
Be safe:

Same with WBL. Some snow near the eastern shore, but pretty rough otherwise.

we did fairly well up here in duluth.... so far

the 2.5 feet of fluffy pow turned into about 1.5 feet of corny wet snow... tomorow it should be the same just tougher.
at least it will be a consistent thick fully bonded base

Cedar has about 70% snow coverage, it'll be crusty as hell but at least it's not pure ice.

Life with global warming. It seems we are in an apparently permanent situation in MN, where no matter how deep the snow, no matter how cold it gets, a warming trend above 32 always follows, completing melting the shit out of our base. Plus, it wrecks hockey rinks too. Frack!!

Man, I miss the cold, snowy MN that ended about 1995!
