BAR QUESTION

Post by dtownkiter »

I have an 06' Slingshot bar that came with my 9m Fuel with a 5th line.

First Question---has anyone had there donkey dick completely fall off? Today, on Calhoun I went to launch and it somehow popped off the line that it is usually attached to? I should be able to rig it back on there so if anyone has experienced this problem and found a solid solution let me know.

Second Question---Are there any major tuning mods or issues with hooking this bar up with my 7m Best Yarga Pro?

thanks

Yeah, a little bit of penicillin should clear that right up.

Seriously though, I had the same thing happen to my SS bar. I was able to rig a string through the broken piece of the donkey-d and tie it back on to the chicken loop. This worked for about two years, but sadly, as you can imagine, once you break your dik, it never quite performs like it used to (but I'm getting off track here).

I think SS sells a complete chicken loop set-up. If the budget is really tight, you can probably make it work, but if you want performance, I would recommend making the $20 investment in the new loop.
This space for rent.

Weird, same thing happened to me today at Calhoun...about the last 3 inches of my donkey dick snapped off, so now it doesn't reach the loop!

Can I just buy a new dick from the ball down? Without getting a whole new chicken loop setup?

It's a slingy 9m t2 bar.

Mine snapped off earlie last season. Ive learned how not to need it and it doesnt seem to cause a problem not having it, aside from reverse launching but its still manageable. Its from the older SS bar that isnt the quick release deal with the rotating ball thingy.

I've seen donkeys with a velcro loop that you can add to any chicken loop. Scuba Center might have some in.
