Sunday land session

Post by Eric S »

Maybe wind today in afternoon (sat) but tomorrow looks lighter and brighter. Perhaps a good kite/sail session on one of our many tar playgrounds?

landsailing equipment ?

Post by RobH »

Sunday sounds good for landsailing with winds out of the west - does Monti or Buffalo work better for that wind direction ?

Also, Mike Nelson has just picked up the uploaded board but is looking for a rig for landsailing - does anyone have a rig or parts of a rig to sell ?

It was a good time with great company at Buffalo last Sunday. Maybe we can have a repeat tomorrow but hopefully with a bit more wind...

Friday my brother and I tore the soccerfields in Blaine a new arsehole. I would like to hook up with someother rippers. I have a spare boom if anyone is interested.

Eric where do you get tires for these mountainboards?

Check here for tires http://www.unitire.com/

You'll want to sell someone your boom for landsailing, not loan it heheheh Here's how mine is treated http://www.downhaul.com/landsail/031005 ... 010006.jpg

I'm going to do some slalom skateboarding with a new bud in the morning in St. Paul then shoot up to Monti or Buffalo. Either will work for NW wind. I like monti for NW cause the wind is clean and side onshore compared to the parking lot. You pinch up wind to one side of the parking lot then get to ride imaginary waves down the lenght. NW wind also lets you get up on the sidewalk by the doors. Lots of good obsticles for skateheads.

Buffalo works great too although the wind blows downhill a bit, if there is 10mph getting back upwind is easy. Also with NW at buffalo you will have the option of going as fast as you have ever gone before if it blows 15mph. It's side-on downhill.

I should be at either of these places by noon.

Waaaaahoooooooo!

Rob, Mike - I have a 430 mast and a basic Chinook mast base that I can demo today for Mike. It's very inexpensive, the first stuff I got for landsailing.

Worst case is mike can use my beat up boom and sail so he's all set but those two items are not for sale.

I'll find you guys at either lot.
