Calhoun has about 10% snow coverage. Ice is great for freeskate. Sharpen your edges if you go kiting!

I had a blast. I sharpened my skis before going out and it really helped. The winds were a bit gusty though when they were up there were some incredible speed runs to be had.

While it would be nice to get more snow, having a few days of cold weather without snow will help the ice thickness. So in a few days when we get a couple feet of snow we'll be on solid ice.

Remember the only thing we more of in Minnesota, other than winter is summer road construction. We've got a long season ahead.
