Heather and I are on the same timeline Sun Country into Padre 11/21 with return 11/30. If anyone has idea's how to get extra gear down without all the extra fee's we are considering shipping gear down or paying someone to carry gear down if they are driving down during the same timeframe. We are looking at 5 kites and 4-5 boards (64 door being the biggest), thinking Sun Country could easily hit us for a extra $200 for the extra bag and over the linear size limit with the door.

BTW: Sun Country has been offering fare sales lately - keep watching!

Rob, being your the first one to reply to my email and the fact that you and Heather are some really cool people, I would have room or could make room in my truck to bring all your stuff down with me when I drive, as always there is always a catch I guess if you want to call it that, I would be leaving on 11-21 to drive down there at around 2:00 which means at a straight drive down 24 hrs later I would get there around 2:00 or so on the 22nd. I'll leave it up to you two to see if you want me to take it with me or not, I didn't know if you would want to be without your stuff until late in the afternoon the next day? I'll let you decide but I could take it all no problem and any other gear you would have, just let me know.

I'm flying down 11/26 - 12/1 with little Kayla. Is anyone else bringing any little ones?

Sounds like there are a good handful of people driving down. I'd be more than happy to pay someone to lug my board down or go in w/someone at the airport and pack boards into one bag.

I'm thinking about going for the month of November. If people want to go in on the house with me I'm game.

Just checked rates again at La Quinta and they just spiked there Friday and Saturday rates from $79.00 to $149.00, the rest of the week from Sunday on is $79.00. The Tarvellodge is only $47.00 per night for all week including the weekends, I know where I'm staying, I can't believe La Quinta, what a joke, and I can't belive they are better than anyone else, cripes your just sleeping there.

John:

I maybe bringing my Son age 11 and Daughter age 9 and would seriously be interested in hiring your daughter for daytime supervision. If you think she would be interested and it wouldn't ruin her vacation please give me a call 651-263-5567. They are great kids very mature and well behaved love to swim and explore, again I won't know for sure untill end of septemebr/oct.

Have a great day!

Heather

My little one and I are feeling really left out.
Heather and Katie, please bully Nancy into coming down on her own, I don't have the vacation, but she does.

How about October in SPI? I've never been there but would like to drive sometime in October and stay until it gets too cold. When are the winds best there (normally)??

Anyway, I'll be driving down with my 10 lb. "little one" which is a miniature schnauzer. Anyone interested in babysitting one of these?
