UNEXPLORED LAUNCHES
I was on the DNR site @ Lake Finder, seeing if there are more local options. Coon Lake looks sizeable. It is east of E. Bethel. Does anyone have any info on it? There is an Anoka Cnty. Park there, & a couple of boat ramps. Was also looking at the E. shore of Forest Lake. There is a boat ramp off Hwy.2 near Rasberry. Might be a potential SW wind launch, but don't know....N E buddy got the skinny?

I've checked out Coon Lake before. The southern half of the lake is much larger and looks like it could work. Haven't found a good launch on the south side though. The park on the NE side of the north half of the lake is quite nice. There is a large swimming area that is shallow pretty far out. Probably wouldl work ok on a SW

I've got a good friend that lives on Coon lake on the south shore just west of the county park. That south shore is really shallow. I was there Sunday to kite, but the wind died about the time I got there. I think the county park would be a good launch for a SW wind. Lots of room. Thats the smaller side of Coon. My buddy said he thought there would be a good launch on the bigger side (west end) too - i'll find out where. I'm sure this summer I'll be over there a few more times. Not sure about Forest Lake. I use to live on it, but didn't kite then.

Randy lives on Forest Lake, it's great for some directions but the weeds can get really thick, hold you kite down in the water thick.
