I threw my kites in the truck this morning cause I had a good feeling about this evening, fingers crossed. Might be some light wind kiting tomorrow too.

Its Whitebear lake Manitou days this weekend starting tonight. Tonight there is a boat parade at 9:30. I'm a bit of a beginner and have not kited on WBL. Does anyone think the boats will be too bad?

Avery & I just left Bellaire. It was sporatically gusty, then a squal was approaching along with lightning, so we bagged it. The boat traffic is usually thick for Manitiou Days, so I'd not try it. Another note: the Lifeguard was warning about swimmers itch.
So, wear neoprene, grease up thoroughly with sunscreen, and prepare for the consequences.
