Thank You Everyone!

Post by kiteboymn »

Thank you to everyone for your concern and positive thoughts and messages after my accident. Vik read me all of your posts during my hospital stay. It sure lifted my spirits to hear all of your positive messages and stories. It's been a week since I've been out of the ICU at North Memorial Hospital. After 6 days of leech therapy, the reattachment of my left middle finger failed. The rest of my fingers are healing well and looks like I'll have full function of them. Vik and I have several visits back to the Dr. in the cities for follow up appointments until my hand heals well enough to have surgery again. It's been a tough road but it's been great knowing that I have such awesome friends in the kiting community. Hopefully, I can have surgery sooner than later so I can possibly get some summer kiting in. I hope to see you all soon.
Thanks again for all the support. You guys rock!

Good to hear some things are going well. If you guys ever need a place to stay while making appointments or between appointments in the metro I have plenty of room and a couple empty bedrooms at my place on Lake Pulaski out in Buffalo. It still a drive into North from Buffalo but if it saves you driving back home and back to North again keep it in mind.
Best wishes,
Rob

Todd...sorry to hear the middle one didn't reattach, I hope it doesn't prove to be too much of an inconvenience.Bummer.
Good luck with the rest of your recovery,I hope you're healed by the time the water warms up.

Hey, Kiteboy! We've been thinking of you and sending positive vibes your way. Can't tell you how sorry we are that this happened to you! Also that the leeches didn't work. Probably the weirdest thing I've "dispensed" working in hospital pharmacies!! I've been missing you on this forum for the last year or so and I'm hoping you'll be able to type well enough so you can resume posting all those great smart aleck comments we love!! Lots of good luck for your recovery...see you soon!
