this hasn't been set yet as far as I know. How about the middle of August? Might increase the chance of wind a bit more and still falls well between the Worthington event and the Crossing.

Anyone have any opinions or viewpoints?

It's been in July the last few years, not much better. My thoughts were that the closer we get to the fall season the better. The only opinion I heard in the past was to have an event spaced between the other two events. How about the last weekend in August? First weekend in Sept?

Maybe we'll have another incredible summer like last year where it blew right through the summer.

Very difficult when we are all wind reliant...I'd say just throw a date out there and lets go for it.

FYI: For people with older kids, the end of August, is the beginning of school season, and gets to be ridulously hectic. Kids always want to go to the fair, fall sports is already practiing, all sorts of events (maybe the Gathering would be a good excuse to get out of a few!).

Any date is going to have conflicts with something, though. Just thought I'd thow that out there.

OK all! Remember on gathering 06&07 that i have been, wind conditions was never good. eather gusty or offshore, and the nex day NO wind and i'd like to vote in betwe en june,july or agoust greate windi days

Ja, it's hard to find a date which works for everybody.
We are in Germany end of July beginning of August.
Maybe we can find a time where we can avoid those nasty duck lice. Is that what they were called?

SWIMMERS ITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW ABOUT EVEN EARLIER? Late May or Early June? It is nice to touch base with everyone, especially after this long cold season. I still like the informal, unofficial format. No hassle , insurance liability, or any one person on the hook for organizing. Pick a day & site, show up & have fun!

I think the last weekend of August/first weekend of Sept is too close to The Crossing and people may not make a couple of 'road trips' that close to each other. June is busy with regatta's, so July seems to be the most logical month.

How about JULY 12? We can make that date!

Regardless, I 'll be up there almost every weekend if possible, just let me know and I'll be there I can bring my grill to the site too wherever we have it, Malmo or Reddy? Malmo is always awesome when the wind blows.

Any date other than the end of September, I close up my camper then, i missed last years because of that, i wished i could have went, I'll be there this year thats for sure 100%!!! I can't wait!!! Maybe an earlier spring early summer date could be good too!

June 14,15 - Worthington Regatta
June 21,22 - ??
June 28,29 - Moose Regatta
July 5,6 - Long weekend
July 12,13 - ??
July 19,20 - ??
July 26,27 - ??

Was the Gathering not in the middle of July the past couple of years? Again, July 12 looks logical.
