Re: Duluth
Look a few posts earlier at "Here comes the Mother." Chip & Cdelp are two of the fixtures up there. Some of the TC kiters & sailors trek up there if the conditions warrant. You may also look at the MNAdventure site, as well. It's a great spot to be no doubt! JRN

Re: Duluth
Welcome to the Inland Sea! Duluth sailing rules! There is a bunch of sailors here. As the season turns on, you will see many posts from us.There is awesome wave sailing and great bay sailing. I haven't been getting out much in the last couple years due to having kids..............and maybe being a bit of a wuss. But, feel free to give me a call. I friggin' love wind skippin'! Re: Duluth
Greetings!
We will be glad to have company whenever the Mother Kicks in a Nor'easter!! (All except for Ben, Whose Wusshood has indeed been called into question of late). The Defacto Mac Daddy of the big lake is Chip, as he has put more hours on than anyone else, but we have a very enthusiastic crew up here. As Randy will attest, even a 6.0 day is great, with big waves and good air.
Call anytime

Re: Duluth
There are three of us that work at UMD and a couple others with similarly flexible summer schedules who can often sneak out on Windy days. Drop me your email and I'll add you to our list when we send out the word that we are going out:

Re: Duluth
Nice, to hear that there are people who windsurf in town. I just started last summer so I'm not very good yet. I picked up a 150 liter taubo rocket and a 7m non-cambered sail, this set up is pretty close to what I was using last year. I doubt I'll be able to sail with you guys on a "windy" day with that sail though.
Re: Diagnosed
Hey Delp, I was at the Dr's yesterday. I told em about my windsurfing wussification. After consulting with some of the other docs, he came up with a diagnoses. Endometritis. Luckily, it's treatable.
Re: Duluth
Hi Ben, sorry to hear about your inflammation, maybe get a second opinion. I ran into you old friend Jason(?) while sailing the warm winds and waves of CC TX. He's happy in CC TX and may have Endometritis as well.
BTW, if anyone in Duluth sees my old friend Pravine, kick him in the buttocks and drag him down to the water.

Re: Duluth
I will be moving up there sometime this summer. as long as the wind is above 15mph I'll be out there. I would also like to try some of the smaller lakes in the area like island and rice.

I'm glad to add you to the email list. BTW a bunch of us will be at the swap meet at the House on May 3rd as well. I'm the tall bald guy with the ugly sunglasses. I'll be there before 8 AM looking to snap up the best deals.
