Saturday's wind forcast looks amazing right now, but its going to be warm and wet. Anyone have location suggestions? I'm thinking of lugging out the bbq to wherever people crew up.

I'm thinking either Waconia, Swede or Tonka. Looking for the best conditions. If it is too SE Waconia's main launch may be shadowed a bit. Swede might have thicker ice and therefore have less of a chance of water heaving up through it. Pondering to continue. It looks good though.

The ice (and some snow) on Waconia is still holding up well. But with tomorrows warmer temps it's going to be sloppy anywhere we go later in the day.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up,totally worn out and loudly proclaiming. WOW! What a ride!!

I was out on WBL today. Drilled a hole, ice is 24 inches thick. Two and a half to three inches of soft snow. Should be doable Saturday.

H#[[ yea, I'll be @ WBL off Ramsey on Saturday. Now if Randy L. will show with my leash, Mike W. w/ my bar & Wild Bill with that spreader pad,
then I'll finally buy all the stuff I said I would. Hope you all can make it. SE is the "perfect" heading for wind over there. Do I wear extra long skis for less chance of falling in a hole? I know the kite eating tree can't wait to taste my Peter Lynn again! JRN

Ramsey it is!!!! It's been great all week...why not end the season out there?

Nick and I have small group coming up for instruction. Please give a little extra room if you see them out there (usually on B4s). We'll do our best to stay out of the main area, and seeing others riding is really helpful as you're learning.

I'll bring the BBQ, hopefully we can make an effective wind shelter to keep it lit. BYOM

Hey Tighe , how is the snow there at Ramsey?? Is it better long skis or short ones? I bet you by noon everything will be water.
I will be there early though

I'm going from Scott's post. I'd say longer skis would be better.

Jim, I will get you that bar for sure tomorrow-- it is sitting right on top of my 11m, which I am itching to get out on again. Should be a great day.

I hit Wayzata Bay for a little bit this afternoon, it was dirty wind as usual, but the T2 9M performed admirably (I'm in love if you can't tell). Cool to see a few guys out... wish I brought my GPS cuz it was really fast! Not Padre good, but a nice day nonetheless!
